How We Collect, Use and Protect Your Information
We are committed to protecting your privacy
Effective date: 8 September 2026
Delta Furniture is operated by DELTA & CO FURNITURE PTY LTD (ABN: 82 660 888 951). This policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information when you visit deltahome.com.au, contact us, create an account, place an order, or arrange delivery, collection or installation.
1. Personal information we collect
Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:
- your name, email address, telephone number, and billing or delivery address;
- account, order, product, delivery, collection and installation details;
- delivery access instructions and communications about your order;
- enquiries, feedback, complaints, returns and warranty information;
- payment status, transaction references and limited payment information supplied by our payment processor; and
- technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, referring page, order-source information, cookies and website activity.
You may browse much of our website without identifying yourself. We need certain information to process an order, take payment, arrange delivery, collection or installation, or respond to an enquiry.
2. How we collect information
We usually collect personal information directly from you when you use our website or checkout, create or use an account, contact us, buy or return a product, make a warranty claim, or arrange delivery, collection or installation.
Some technical information is collected automatically through cookies, server logs and the services that support our website. We may also receive transaction or service information from our service providers.
3. How we use your information
- process payments and manage orders;
- provide products, delivery, collection and installation services;
- send order confirmations and service updates;
- respond to enquiries, complaints, returns and warranty requests;
- maintain customer and transaction records;
- prevent fraud, protect our website and resolve disputes;
- comply with accounting, tax and other legal obligations;
- understand order sources and improve our website and services; and
- send marketing communications where permitted. You may opt out at any time.
4. Payments, addresses and emails
Online card payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe-hosted payment fields handle your card information. We receive payment status, a transaction reference and limited card information, such as the card brand and last four digits. We do not receive or store your full card number or card security code in WooCommerce. Please do not send full card details to us by email.
To calculate delivery distance, eligibility and price, we submit the delivery address you enter to Google Maps Platform services. Our Contact page also displays an embedded Google map. We use Google Workspace/Gmail to send and receive business and order emails.
5. When we disclose information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may disclose only the information reasonably needed to:
- GoDaddy and Cloudflare, which help host, deliver, secure and monitor our website;
- Stripe, which processes online payments and helps prevent payment fraud;
- Google, for maps, delivery route calculations, website fonts and business emails;
- staff and delivery or installation providers involved in fulfilling your order; and
- professional advisers, insurers, regulators or authorities where reasonably necessary or required by law.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for the shopping cart, checkout, account sessions, website security and performance. We also use first-party cookies to record information such as a referring page, campaign information, device type and activity during the current session so we can understand how an order reached us. Stripe, GoDaddy and Cloudflare may set cookies when providing payment, security and site-performance services.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Some parts of the website, including the cart and checkout, may not work correctly if required cookies are disabled.
7. Overseas handling
Some of our service providers operate internationally, so personal information may be processed outside Australia. The processing location can vary according to each provider’s systems and may include the United States and other countries where the provider or its related companies operate. For more information, see the privacy information published by Stripe, Google, GoDaddy and Cloudflare.
8. Security and retention
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed to manage orders and customer service, meet warranty, accounting, tax and legal requirements, prevent fraud, maintain security or resolve disputes. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it where practicable.
9. Access, correction and deletion requests
You may ask to access personal information we hold about you or request correction of inaccurate information. You may also request deletion where permitted. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Some information, including transaction and order records, may need to be retained for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, warranty or dispute-handling purposes. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain why where required.
10. Privacy questions and complaints
To request access or correction, or to make a privacy complaint, contact us using the details below. Please describe your request or concern and provide enough information for us to investigate it. We will investigate and aim to respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, information about making a privacy complaint is available from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
